What gets introduced and why it matters

Every solution introduced through the Hub Advisory has achieved Tier 4 verification, meaning it has undergone a full cradle-to-grave Life Cycle Assessment, published an Environmental Product Declaration, and has been independently verified. These are not supplier claims. They are the result of the most rigorous environmental assessment process available in the industry.

Two tools underpin every introduction:

LCA

Full Lifecycle Assessment

A cradle-to-grave analysis of a product’s total environmental impact, covering raw material extraction, manufacturing, transport, use, and end of life. The most comprehensive method available for understanding what a product actually costs the environment, not just what it claims to save. A cradle-to-grave LCA covers modules A1–A5 (raw material, transport, manufacturing, transport to site, construction), B1–B7 (use phase), and C1–C4 (end of life) per EN 15978 framing, or equivalent ISO 14044 system boundary.

EPD

Environmental Product Declaration

A standardised, independently verified document that communicates a product’s environmental performance based on its LCA data. A published EPD is publicly available and directly comparable with other EPDs in the same product category, making it a procurement tool, not a marketing one. For yacht-specific products, the applicable PCR is the Yachts, Small Crafts and Other Vessels standard (UN CPC 49311/494, PCR 2015:06).

Three principles that make it worth trusting

Fully independent

Water Revolution Foundation takes no commercial stake in any introduction. We receive no fee from solution providers based on outcomes. Revenue stays entirely with the supplier. Our only interest is whether the introduction results in a better procurement decision, which is why we follow up three months later to find out.

Science-led from the start

Every solution we introduce has been assessed to the highest standard available. Every assessment is published or made available on request. We don’t introduce solutions because they seem promising or because a supplier has asked us to introduce them, but because the science supports it.

No greenwashing, by design

We don’t take claims at face value. We don’t work with self-declared credentials. Every solution introduced has been through independent assessment, and the documentation behind it is publicly available. If it can’t be verified, it doesn’t get introduced.

1 Understand

We start by understanding your project, the phase you’re in, the decisions ahead, your environmental priorities, and any specific technical requirements. This isn’t a form. It’s a conversation.

2 Curate

From the Hub’s verified solutions, we identify those most relevant to your specific needs. Tier 4 only, full LCA, published EPD, independently verified.

3 Introduce

A tailored introduction package for each relevant solution, including solution profiles, direct supplier contacts, and scientific context that goes beyond what’s publicly available on the Hub. You get the full picture, not just the headline numbers.

4 Follow up

Outcomes are anonymised and aggregated annually to publish a Hub Advisory impact report. Three months on, we check in. Did the introduction lead anywhere? Did it change a specification, open a conversation, or inform a decision? Impact is our only metric and we take it seriously enough to measure it.
